The Ontario Securities Commission is taking membership applications for its Investment Funds Product Advisory Committee, which was created in 2011 to keep tabs on market and product trends.

The committee, which is chaired by OSC director Rhonda Goldberg, consists of between eight and 12 members who typically serve two-year terms. Members meet four times annually, and are selected on the basis of:

  • their involvement in the investment fund industry;
  • their knowledge of product development;
  • and their strong interest in related policy considerations.

Those interested in joining the committee can submit written applications (that detail their backgrounds and relevant experience) until May 15, 2015. All applications and questions can be sent to Melissa Schofield, senior legal counsel of the Investment Funds and Structured Products Branch
at OSC, at mschofield@osc.gov.on.ca.
