Warren Buffett has occupied the second spot on the Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest Americans for 15 years, behind Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. But he’s been knocked down a peg this year.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has edged Buffett out by US$1.5 billion dollars. Forbes places Bezos’s net worth at US$67 billion. Thanks to his company Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett’s net worth is US$65.5 billion.

Billions above them both is Gates, whose net worth is US$81 billion.

Rounding out the top five are Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg with US$55.5 billion, and Oracle’s Larry Ellison, who has US$49.3 billion.
