Larry Tomei is now executive vice-president and head of retail banking and wealth management at HSBC Canada Bank, effective immediately. Tomei succeeds Betty Miao, who is taking a new role with HSBC in Asia.

Tomei joins HSBC after a 22-year career with CIBC, where he was most recently senior vice-president and head of President’s Choice Financial. He has significant experience in retail and business banking, and mass affluent and Asian banking. In 2009, Tomei was named one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 by Caldwell Partners.
