Several major financial institutions were included on the list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2014.

That list includes:

  • The Bank of Canada
  • CIBC
  • Desjardins Group
  • Manulife Financial Corporation
  • RBC
  • TD Bank Group

This is the 14th year the list has been compiled. It’s the final result of “a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries.”

Employers across the nation are evaluated annually based on their available benefits and vacation offerings, as well as their atmospheres, internal communications, performance management and training programs, among other criteria.

Both RBC and Manulife have commented on their wins this year; RBC credited its dedicated staff, and Manulife says it “offers…access to a wide variety of career opportunities,” which is one of the main reason it was also named as a Top 100 Employer for Young People this past September.

The Canada’s Top 100 Employers Summit will take place in Toronto on November 13 and 14, 2013, and will feature key speakers such as Hillary Clinton and executives from the winning companies.

Applications for the 2015 competition will be available early in 2014.
