H&R Block has a list of unbelievable tax deductions, both attempted and successful.

One taxpayer tried to claim the cost of trips to Las Vegas and Arizona, as his dermatologist recommended the sunny weather for his psoriasis. The case made it to the Tax Court of Canada, which ruled against the claim.

Former Edmonton Eskimos player Craig Ellis tried to deduct the cost of footballs he threw into the stands, among other items, as an employment expense. That Tax Court ruled against him too.
