Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) has launched a flexible income fund that will be sub-advised by NWQ Investment Management Company, LLC, a California-based research company.

The new high-yield fund is for retail investors who are looking for monthly fixed distributions. It invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of income-producing securities.

“Given the current fixed income environment and perpetually low interest rates, investors are looking for ways to diversify their income portfolios,” says Sadiq S. Adatia, CIO of Sun Life Global Investments.

Including the Sun Life NWQ Flexible Income Fund, the company offers 53 mutual funds. The new fund will be available through Sun Life Financial, as well as through MFDA and IIROC dealers. It will be part of the Sun Life Managed Income Portfolio and Sun Life Managed Enhanced Income Portfolio.
