Fidelity Investments Canada ULC announced on Thursday that the risk ratings of 11 of its mutual funds will change on April 1.
In a press release, Fidelity outlined the new risk ratings being proposed, which are described below:
- Fidelity Canadian Opportunities Fund will change from a “medium to high” risk rating to “medium”
- Fidelity Canadian Opportunities Class will change from a “medium to high” risk rating to “medium”
- Fidelity Japan Fund will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Japan Class will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Far East Fund will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Far East Class will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Tactical Strategies Fund will change from a “medium” risk rating to “low to medium”
- Fidelity Global Credit Ex-U.S. Investment Trust will change from a “low” risk rating to “low to medium”
- Fidelity Special Situations Fund will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Special Situations Class will change from a “high” risk rating to “medium to high”
- Fidelity Multi-Sector Bond Currency Neutral Fund will change from a “low to medium” risk rating to “low”
The investment objectives and strategies of the mutual funds will remain unchanged, according to the release.
