Despite international fame, not all superheroes live in mansions.
That’s because, in the real world, their unpredictable schedules and dangerous lifestyles would make it hard to hold down jobs. As a result, some return to modest apartments after long nights of crime fighting, according to an infographic entitled “Superhomes for Superheroes” (see below).

Yet, a few superheroes, such as Batman and Ironman, were lucky enough to be born into wealth. In movies and comics, their homes are depicted as luxury estates or condos.

In The Dark Knight Rises, for example, the infographic says the exterior shots of Bruce Wayne’s manor were filmed at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham. That particular estate was built for only about US$13,000 in the 1500s, but is now worth more than US$80,000,000 (crime-fighting gadgets not included).
In contrast, Spiderman is often shown living in a simple New York home owned by his aunt and uncle. Located in the Forest Hill area of the city, the infographic says it’s likely worth about US$600,000.
