The Financial Times reports Japan is set to enter trade negotiations with 11 countries, including the U.S.

“Japan would be the second-largest economy in the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and its inclusion would enhance the impact of a deal that backers hope will set standards for trade across the Asia-Pacific region – including perhaps ultimately China, which is not part of the TPP talks,” says the report.
