The Eurozone’s ban last year on credit default swaps has drawn the criticism of the International Monetary Fund, reports the Financial Times.
“[I]n a report Thursday, which will be part of the Washington-based institute’s global financial stability report next week, the IMF warned the ban could ‘result in unintended consequences that could negatively affect market liquidity and cause dislocations in other markets,’ ” the article explains.
