Rap stars are known for lyrics about their massive wealth. Jay-Z called fellow artists out on these statements in his song Versus, and it turns out, most rappers are lying about their earnings and net worths, reports Bloomberg.
Nicki Minaj’s lyrics claim she is on her way to topping $1 billion, but her earnings in 2012 capped out at $12.5 million, the report says. Pitbull claims in his song Feel the Moment, “Now I make dollars, I mean billions,” but his 2012 earnings were only $9.5 million, Bloomberg reports.
50Cent claimed in his song I’m on It, “I blow a hundred million, make another hundred mil,” which just isn’t true. Sorry, Mr. Cent, you only made $7.5 million in 2012.

Some exaggerations are less concerning; Jay-Z claimed once to be worth $500 million when his current net worth is quite close — $475 million.
