CSA has provided more information about its transition to a new national systems service provider, CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants.

Starting in October 2013, CGI will assume responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the: System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR); System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI); and National Registration Database (NRD).

Collectively, these are known as CSA’s national systems. The transition to CGI management will occur over the weekend of October 12, 2013, during which time all three systems won’t be available to market participants.

From that point on, CSA service desk will provide a single point of contact for all questions about the systems, their user requirements and fees. However, the information for that service desk will remain the same.

Additionally, a number of market participants currently access one or all of CSA’s systems through a virtual private network (VPN) connection. Before the change, these connections must be reconfigured to point to the CGI’s infrastructure.

Though the CSA/CGI team will assist these participants, anyone who hasn’t been contacted by the end of August should email CSAsystransition@csa-acvm.ca for help.

Lastly, SEDAR filing agents will be provided with a software update. It will be installed after the transition to the CGI networks.

Stay tuned for updated information in September 2013.
