Four Canadian banks were honoured by British magazine World Finance’s 2013 Banking Awards this week.

RBC has won best commercial bank in Canada.

National Bank has been named the country’s best banking group.

“Diversified across a substantial network of branches domestically and overseas, National Bank offers a comprehensive and complimentary client service,” noted the panel of World Finance judges in their citation.

TD Bank Group comes out on top as Canada’s best sustainable bank.

“The bank is engaged in responsible financing, both for lending and investing, and the bank strictly monitors the social and environmental impact of its projects,” noted the judges.

TD Securities has been selected as Canada’s best investment bank.

And BMO Harris Private Banking has won best private bank for the third year in a row.

The World Finance banking awards have been handed out since 2007.
