It is really important to be clear on your vision, find research on your specific target market, read books and then identify the practices you feel you can adopt and the areas you must change in order to attract these clients.

Your question is not only important but also topical. Why do you want the separation? You have begun to establish a brand for yourself whether you like it or not. If your message is clear and you keep things on the positive and productive side then you could use Facebook or Twitter for co-workers as you are promoting yourself with a social media platform.

The senior advisor in our practice is amazing with people but cannot organize himself or his time and does too much of the talking in the client appointments. This often results in 2 - 3 hour appointments which cuts us down to only about 5 - 6 appointments a week.

When there is motivation to do so. I think that if you have any interest in writing or getting better as a writer then you should challenge yourself. I had a boss at one point in my working career who used red pen a lot - and I mean a lot - so my desire to write a book started with that and a whole lot of ideas I had in my head.
