The Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) and its Quebec counterpart, the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF) have set the date for Canada’s third annual Financial Planning Week.

October 17-23, 2011 will be dedicated to an ongoing effort by both organizations to make financial planning the cornerstone of sound financial management.

“The goal of Financial Planning Week is to raise awareness of the importance of financial planning and to invite a call to action to stakeholders to collaborate and enact meaningful change for the benefit of all Canadians,” says Cary List, CA, CFP, president and CEO, FPSC. “We are therefore delighted to collaborate with IQPF, as we share the goal of encouraging Canadians to engage with and learn more about financial planning.”
