Macquarie Group announced that Jean-Pierre Ouellet joins Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. today as a special advisor. In this newly created role, Ouellet will focus on expanding Macquarie’s advisory and capital markets activities in Canada, particularly in Quebec.
With more than 30 years of experience in law and finance and as a venture partner of Capital St-Laurent and director of several Canadian public companies, Ouellet brings with him extensive corporate and industry relationships and experience highly relevant to Macquarie’s growing Canadian franchise.

Ouellet was previously vice chairman and head of RBC Capital Markets’ Quebec operations until 2008.
