BMO Capital Markets has announced the hiring of Matthew Brogdon as director in the Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) team in its Houston-based energy practice.
Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Brogdon served as co-president and CEO of a private exploration and production company, vice-president and team leader at Netherland Sewell & Associates, Inc. and senior reservoir engineer at Exxon Mobil Production Company.
“Matt brings a wealth of experience and his hiring caps an exciting first year for the A&D team, which executed $2 billion in U.S. deals and increased its Houston-based staff to 15,” said Miles Redfield, managing director and head of U.S. A&D Advisory. “Since its inception last year, A&D has become a cornerstone product for BMO’s U.S. Energy Group, and the team provides valuable advice and solutions for our oil and gas clients.”
Over the past two years, BMO Capital Markets has hired more than 130 new staff in the U.S. at the director level or higher.
