Whether it’s a renewed interest in emerging markets, or simply the name, Armenia’s Kardashian bond has enjoyed strong demand, reports NBC News.

It’s named after TV personality Kim Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent, and never fails to make headlines. She and rapper Kanye West welcomed daughter North West in June.

Priced at 6.25% to yield 6%, the seven-year Kardashian bond came to market on September 19.

“I think net-net the sovereign has benefited from the extra attention/focus/PR around the issue,” says Standard Bank’s head of emerging markets research, Timothy Ash, who named the bond.
