A sophisticated new piece of malware has been making the rounds, reports The Washington Post.

Called Careto, it’s disguised as a shared article link in an email from a major media website. Those who click on the link are taken to a site that scans their computer systems—be it Windows, Mac or Linux—for weaknesses. Even phone software like iOS or Android may be vulnerable, the Post reports.

Once the system is compromised, the program begins collecting information from its web searches, key strokes and even Skype conversations.
