Conversely, lesser-known schools that have to compete for the bright students will be more likely to offer money based on merit, says WealthManagement.com.
So, if the offer of a merit scholarship is a major factor in the post-secondary decision process for your client’s child, encourage him or her to apply to as many schools as possible to catch an academic scholarship.
