Women in Capital Markets (WCM) has announced the winners of its 2014 Return to Bay Street Award.

The award’s given to professional women who want to return to the capital markets industry after having to leave successful careers. These women represent a valuable pool of talent, says the organization.

The 2014 award recipients are:

  • Ellen Bernardeau
  • Andreea Constantin
  • Susan Cowan
  • Robyn Harris Porter
  • Helen Thomas
  • Judy Tredgett

The recipients receive a paid four-month internship at one of four major banks, as well as $5,000 that can be used toward an education program, a mentor and a one-year WCM Membership.

“This program recognizes the economic value of returning women to senior roles in the industry and ensuring that leadership teams have strong representation of women,” says Jennifer Reynolds, CEO of Women in Capital Markets.

In 2013, the WCM’s award winners included Barbara Glassford, Christine MacDonald and Rakhi Tejani. Each has translated her internship into a full-time role in the industry.
