Each year, Women in Capital Markets (WCM) recognizes businesswomen who want to re-launch their financial careers.

The group’s Return to Bay Street Award winners receive: a WCM membership; a mentor; $5,000 towards educational programs; and a four-month paid internship at one of four major Canadian banks.

Today, WCM’s announced that three of last year’s award winners (Rakhi Tejani, Christie MacDonald and Barbara Glassford) recently transitioned successfully from paid internships to full-time positions in Canadian capital markets.

The group notes six awards have been handed out since 2010. Along with the three mentioned, past winners include: Sheralyn Mills (2012), Catherine Staveley (2012) and Mary Ann Mendes (2013). All winners have found full-time work in the industry upon returning.

WCM will be hosting its Return to Bay Street conference on April 28, 2014 in Toronto.
