AGF Investments Inc. today announced the appointment of Chris Boyle as senior vice-president of the firm’s growing institutional business.

Boyle is an industry veteran with nearly two decades of experience. In his new capacity, he will continue to develop AGF’s institutional strategy and lead the institutional team focusing on expanding the business in the United States, Europe, Asia and Canada. In recent years, AGF has opened new institutional-focused offices in Boston and Hong Kong to better serve those regions and expanded the role of its Dublin-based office with an emphasis on institutional growth in the burgeoning Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) region.

Boyle has held progressively responsible positions in the investment management and banking industries since 1993, most recently serving as SVP at CI Investments Inc., where he oversaw the organization’s institutional sales and marketing division.

Prior to that, he was a vice-president at the Canadian operations of U.S.-based Fidelity Investments, responsible for alternative distribution through Canadian banks. Boyle began his career at TD Bank Financial Group and subsequently became lead relationship manager for a portfolio of financial institution clients before moving into the investment management sector.
