You may not want to ditch your iPhone or BlackBerry in favour of an Android smartphone just yet.
There have been recent malware attacks targeting the operating systems of phones from Samsung, HTC, Pantech, and Motorola, reports Forbes.

One malware, Loozfon, uses a bogus work-at-home opportunity promising a profitable payday just for sending an email. The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Centre (IC3) warns the malware will attempt to steal your contacts.
Meanwhile, another malware, FinFisher, is transmitted when you visit a specific web link or open a text message masquerading as a system update. The spyware can remotely control and monitor your communications, reports Forbes.

IC3 is warning all Android users to research the developers of any apps before downloading, get malware protection, and not connect to unknown wireless networks.
