The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has appointed two new members: Steven Cohen and Raymond Crossley, each for a three-year term that will expire on March 31, 2021.

Cohen has more than 35 years of experience in the legal profession. He’s currently a partner in the securities group at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, focusing on capital markets activities. Cohen has served on advisory committees of both the ASC and OSC.

Crossley is a financial professional and corporate director, and is currently CFO of Calgary Health Trust. He also serves on the board of directors of Obsidian Energy Ltd. and the Canada West Foundation. Previously, he’s served as member of the ASC’s financial review committee and the financial advisory committee.

Kathryn Chisholm has been re-appointed as a commission member for a three-year term that also expires on March 31, 2021, and Ann Rooney has been re-appointed as lead independent member, expiring on March 31, 2019.

Terry Allen and Webster Macdonald each successfully completed their second three-year terms with the ASC. Those expired on March 31, 2018.
