Ben Bernanke has been busy since stepping down as head of the Federal Reserve in February, reports the New York Times.

He’s been on a worldwide speaking tour, with stops in Abu Dhabi, Joannesburg and Houston, to name a few.

By giving talks to bankers and executives, Bernanke now makes the equivalent of his $200,000 annual Fed salary in hours, says the Times.

He charges between $200,000 and $400,000 per speaking engagement. He’s not the only former Fed banker to make a living on the soapbox—Allan Greenspan also does public speaking.
