BlackRock Asset Management Canada will now offer Passive Foreign Investment Company statements for certain iShares funds (for the full list, click here). The statements will be available for the 2015 tax year.

The statements contain reporting information that will enable investors classified as U.S. Persons to make the Qualified Electing Fund election for U.S. tax reporting purposes.

The 2015 PFIC Annual Information Statements are expected to be posted to the iShares website on or about March 31, 2016.
