The new polymer $20 bills don’t work in some vending machines.

And now, The Globe and Mail reports botanists have rejected them as well. They’re saying one of the maple leaves depicted on the bill looks like the leaf that originates from Norway rather than Canada.

The Globe adds the Bank of Canada has refuted this claim, saying it’s simply a stylized version of the traditional Canadian symbol. Read more.
