The Canadian ETF Association (CETFA) has appointed Kevin Gopaul, head of BMO Global Asset Management Canada, head of quantitative strategies and ETFs, and chief investment officer (Canada), as chair of CETFA’s board of directors.

Gopaul will serve a two-year term, and he’s the third board chair since CETFA’s inception, following Vanguard’s Atul Tiwari and Horizons’ Howard Atkinson.

CETFA also has three new members: Franklin Templeton Investments, Manulife ETFs and Invesco Canada.

The association now includes 46 members comprising ETF providers, affiliates and portfolio managers, and represents more than 95% of Canadian ETF assets under management.
