The results are in for the last sitting of exams leading to certification as a CFP, with a 74% pass rate for the Financial Planning Examination Level 1, and 59% for Financial Planning Examination Level 2.

First-time writers of both exams performed better than the overall field of candidates, with pass rates of 79% and 74%.

“The pass rates for both the FPE1 and FPE2 examinations reflect how the CFP certification program provides opportunities for candidates to progressively build on their skills with each step along the path to certification,” says John Wickett, senior vice-president, standards and certification, FPSC.

Registration is now open for the next administration of FPE1 and FPE2, which will both take place on June 9, 2012.
