Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. launched a new liquid alternative fund on Tuesday.

The CI Marret Alternative Enhanced Yield Fund is available in ETF and mutual fund versions. The ETF series, available in a Canadian-dollar version and a version hedged to the U.S. dollar, began trading Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The new fund, which is managed by Marret Asset Management Inc., aims to “provide income with low volatility over a market cycle regardless of market conditions or general market direction, while targeting low correlation to equity and traditional income,” according to a release.
