Monique F. Leroux, chair of the board and president and CEO of Desjardins Group, has announced several changes to the group’s senior management team.

The duties of the senior executive vice-president, Marc Laplante, will be expanded effective immediately. He will assume the title of senior executive vice-president of Desjardins Group and general manager of the Federation, confirming his role at the Federation and his various responsibilities at Desjardins.

Leroux has also announced the retirement of Jacques Dignard , senior vice-president of people and culture, as well as the retirement of Raymond Laurin, CFO and senior vice-president of finance and treasury. Dignard will be leaving Desjardins on March 31 and Laurin will relinquish duties on May 14.

Normand Desautels, currently senior vice-president and general manager of personal services, has been appointed as senior vice-president and general manager of personal services and human capital.

Daniel Dupuis, who recently held the position of senior vice-president of co-operative network support, has been named CFO and senior vice-president of finance, effective May 14.

Following this appointment, the chief treasurer, Jacques Descôteaux, and his team will be transferred to the Caisse Centrale Desjardins and Capital Desjardins Inc. executive division, led by Louis-Daniel Gauvin.

Effective April 2, Guy Cormier will be promoted to the position of senior vice-president of co-operative network support, the role vacated by Dupuis. The mission of this executive division is to ensure the coordination of responses, as well as the deployment of the integrated advisory services offer.

Réal Bellemare, currently executive vice-president of risk management, is now senior vice-president of risk management, Desjardins Group.
