Bonnie Baha, the head of Global Developed Credit at DoubleLine Capital LP, has died, reports Reuters.

Reuters notes, “Baha, 57, helped steer Los Angeles-based DoubleLine Capital into one of the fastest growing asset management firms in the United States. Her team managed the firm’s investments in fixed and floating-rate corporate and sovereign securities issued within developed market economies.”

As reported by Associated Press, Baha was at the University of Virginia over the weekend and died after being struck by a car near campus.

The Albemarle County Police Department said in a statement that she was struck by a car just before 1 p.m. on Sunday and that she died at hospital.

Police say Baha’s husband and daughter were also struck and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, police say there are no charges and that the crash remains under investigation.
