Goldman Sachs has promoted Gregg Lemkau to global co-head of the merger division, reports the Financial Times. He was previously head of mergers and acquisitions in Europe and Asia.

“The 43-year-old advised the Swedish kidney dialysis specialist Gambro on its sale to Baxter for $4bn last year, as well as advising Skype on its sale to Microsoft for $8.5bn. An experienced technology sector banker, […] Lemkau also worked on the sale of set top box maker NDS, which was owned by News Corp and Permira, to technology group Cisco for $5bn, as well as leading the team on the $1bn investment by Goldman and DST Global into Facebook in 2011 before its initial public offering in 2012,” the report explains.
