IA Clarington Investments is offering of a dollar-cost averaging service to assist investors in investing gradually in markets.

The Service is available on 21 of its mutual and corporate class funds, including: the strategic fund family managed by Dan Bastasic; the focused fund family managed by David Taylor; and the tactical fund family managed by Ben Cheng.

“Our new service enables investors to systematically invest in the markets throughout the year, which can have advantages over making a single lump-sum investment,” says Eric Frape, IA Clarington’s senior vice-president of products and investments.

He adds, “Dollar-cost-averaging can help mitigate volatility in markets, benefitting investors as more fund units can be purchased when prices are low and fewer when prices rise.

The company says the strategy is simple, consistent and convenient for clients. It’s also a free program.
