Vikram Barhat, Advisor.ca’s king of luxe, was in excellent spirits today. Or, should we say, he got into some excellent spirits.
Vikram took a bullet for the team when he volunteered to attend a tasting for Louis XIII cognac, a specialty spirit produced by the House of Remy Martin since 1874 – it takes 300 kilograms of grapes to produce the content of a single bottle, which retails for $2,800.
The lush daytrip fell under the category of “research” for a story on investing in prize liquors slated for his Atypical Assets column in the September issue of Advisor’s Edge. Keep an eye out for it.
