A look at the “un-banked”
Worldwide, 2.5 billion people live without bank services, according to stats from the World Bank. The majority of those live in developing countries and earn less than $2 per day. More surprisingly, only 35% of city dwellers are likely to have bank accounts in developing countries, compared with 22% of their rural counterparts.
