More than 100 U.S. customers paid small fortunes for fast food heading into the Easter Weekend.

As CBS Los Angeles reports, a California-based Del Taco location has discovered a technical glitch affected the processing of many of its debit and credit transactions over a 24-hour period. As a result, some people paid thousands for drinks and tacos, with one man being charged more than $10,000 for his family dinner.

All funds will be returned, says the restaurant. But some customers are waiting for their banks to reverse charges.

The lesson? Clients should routinely check bank statements and review bills. In some cases, they’re responsible for spotting and reporting unusual activity and charges.
