Manulife Asset Management is naming starting a new global natural resources equity team with two new portfolio managers.

The two managers are Craig Bethune and Diana M. Racanelli. Both come from TD Asset Management and are based in Toronto. They co-lead the team and report to Christopher Conkey, Global Chief Investment Officer, Manulife Asset Management.

Bethune has been a portfolio manager since 2002. He’s worked with the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System and Credit Suisse Canada, among other firms.

Racanelli was vice president and director at TD AM. She was lead manager of a precious metals fund and was co-manager of resource and energy funds. She’s also worked at CIBC Global Asset Management, Burns Fry Limited and Scotia Capital Markets.
