Manulife Asset Management today announced the appointment of Kisoo Park as managing director and portfolio manager for the Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income.

Park has more than 20 years of experience in foreign exchange and global fixed income and will be based in Hong Kong to provide support in the areas of global bond and foreign exchange research.

Janis III, head, Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income. “He has an exceptional depth and breadth of experience in the foreign exchange markets and global fixed income. We already have an outstanding team in Asia, and the addition of Kisoo and his years of experience only serves to further strengthen our on the ground presence to the benefit of our clients.”

The Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income team manages assets for institutional clients and Manulife and John Hancock investment funds globally. The team’s strategy seeks to provide competitive returns by investing in a portfolio of global government and corporate bonds, including emerging markets and high yield securities. The investment team differentiates itself by employing both strategic and tactical currency views to take advantage of global market trends.
