The popular investment research website Morningstar.ca just got better.

Morningstar, one of Canada’s leading financial information websites, has added a number of new features which will be free to investors until September, when Morningstar plans to launch a Premium Membership service.

The new and improved features include an independent equity research on North American stocks, a Morningstar Stewardship Grade for fund firms and advanced stock, fund, and exchange-traded fund (ETF) screens.

Morningstar Quicktake Reports and its basic screeners for stocks, funds, and ETFs, tools have been enhanced and will remain free to users, along with the newly added real-time news feeds.

Over the course of summer, Morningstar will improve the site’s portfolio management capabilities, advanced charting functionality, the retirement analysis calculator, and ETF market monitoring tools.

“With more robust screening tools, an increased focus on stocks and ETFs, and enriched Morningstar Quicktake Reports, the website will support an even deeper level of investor research,” says Scott Mackenzie, president and chief executive officer of Morningstar Canada.

The refurbished site will incorporate the latest in Morningstar data, analysis, technology, and design.
