1970s Swedish pop group ABBA went to extreme lengths to avoid the taxman.

In fact, all that glitter and spandex they wore on stage wasn’t to create a fashion statement. It was to get around taxes, according to The Local.

This is because Swedish tax authorities require stage clothing to be something that is “clearly distinguishable from ordinary garments” if you want to be able to claim it on a tax return. Read more.
