The Financial Times reports Crown Estate has struck a property development deal with one of the largest Canadian pension funds.

“The Crown Estate, which manages an £8bn property empire on behalf of the sovereign, will work with Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System on a 270,000 sq ft development of shops, restaurants and offices in St James’s, the central London heartland of the UK hedge fund industry,” the report notes.
