Sun Life Global Investments has launched the Sun Life Dynamic Energy Fund, which offers access to a portfolio of energy-focused securities in North America.
“Despite the short-term dip [in oil prices], there are longer-term opportunities in the energy sector for investors,” says Sadiq S. Adatia, CIO at Sun Life Global Investments.

Sun Life GI has also introduced Series EF for 29 of its retail funds, but that series is only available through the Sun Life GI Private Client program, and to investors who have fee-based accounts with dealers who have signed agreements with Sun Life GI.

Rather than pay sales charges, investors buying Series EF securities pay fees to their dealers for investment advice and other services. And, Sun Life GI can charge a lower management fee for Series EF securities than for Series E, given it doesn’t pay any commissions to dealers on Series EF.
