United States Attorney General Eric Holder wants his government to encourage more stock market insiders to blow the whistle on illegal conduct, reports NBC.

In a statement, Holder says insider evidence is crucial to most cases against financial wrongdoers. Under other U.S. legislation, those who come forward with evidence of fraud in a government program are entitled to up to one-third of a settlement, reports NBC.

Holder also wants the FBI to be able to hire more white-collar crime experts.
