Sneaking out for a three-hour lunch break? Not so fast. Your boss may be tracking your whereabouts.
At least, that’s the new reality at Bay Street, Toronto-based McCague Borlack LLP. The law firm is installing fingerprint-scanning technology to monitor its employees, reports thestar.com. Staff (except lawyers who have client meetings) will be required to clock in and out of the office with a finger swipe.

The strict procedure comes after the firm received complaints of employees abusing the honour system and taking long lunches.
Since lawyers are exempt from the new program, some employees, namely secretaries and copy-room staff, are outraged. They’ve launched a “Finger Campaign” website to voice their concerns. Read more.
